1. Who we are

Colab Training ("we", "us") is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Contact: training@colabdev.co.za · +27 741 200 495 · Johannesburg, South Africa.

2. What we collect

Only what you enter in our enquiry forms, which depends on the form you use:

• Name, email address and telephone number
• Organisation, industry, site location and estimated learner numbers (business enquiries)
• The service you are interested in, preferred dates, urgency and your message
• Your privacy acknowledgement and your optional marketing choice

Please do not send identity numbers, medical information or other special personal information through the forms.

For spam protection we create short-lived, one-way scrambled (hashed) identifiers from your email and network address. We do not store your raw IP address. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we have no third-party tracking scripts running on it. If we ever add analytics or a chat tool, we will update this notice before it is switched on.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations and arrange training or consulting — necessary to take the steps you have asked for.
• To send occasional updates about courses and resources, only if you ticked the optional marketing box. You can withdraw this at any time by emailing us.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

4. Online learning

Course learning takes place on our separate learning platform (https://online.learn.net.za). Information you give there (such as your learner account and progress) is handled by that platform and is not collected by this website. The platform runs on a server in Cape Town, South Africa. It is operated by Colab Training.

5. Sharing and storage

We do not sell your information. Enquiries are stored privately in our secure cloud database and are not publicly accessible. We share information only with service providers who help us run this website, or where the law requires it.

Hosting: the learning platform is hosted in South Africa (Cape Town). Enquiry details submitted through this website are stored in a cloud database hosted outside South Africa, in a European region (Ireland) operated by our hosting provider.

Retention: enquiries are kept for 3 years after our last contact with you. When that period ends, records are permanently deleted from our database.

Access: only designated SHE consultants and training administrators may view submitted enquiries. Automatic email notifications are not currently configured, so enquiries are not emailed to anyone.

6. Security

Forms are sent over an encrypted connection, checked on our server, and saved in storage that website visitors cannot read. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your information we will act as POPIA requires.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to its use, and withdraw marketing consent. Contact us at training@colabdev.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.

8. Changes

We may update this notice. The version number above shows which notice applied when you submitted an enquiry.
